Whatever he might be

Having fallen as a prey
To an unworthy hand
From an impulsive action
I would ever stick to him
Whatever he might be to me.

I must not seek a new hand,
However worthy he is,
To have him[husband] say later
That I, who he persuaded
To call myself his wife
And who had given him
The liberty to use me
As a WIFE, was not as faithful
As a wife ought to be,
Whatever he might be to me.
